Articulate

Manufactured by: Drumond Park Ltd, West Lothian, Scotland

First produced: 1998

This edition: 1998

Number of players: 2 to 4

Age range: 8+

Object of the game:

This is "the fast talking description game".
The object is to be the first team round to the FINISH segment. Progress is made by correctly guessing what your team-mate is describing.
"Articulate!" is easy to get the hang of. The tricky bit is successfully describing as examples..George Washington, a xylophone, an albatross, or "Switzerland”  in 30 seconds without saying the word, what it starts with or what it sounds like. It gets desperate!!

Contents:

1 x circular playing board with central spinner
500 x subject cards (with 3,000 entries)
1 x sand timer
4 x playing pieces
1 x rules leaflet

Further notes:

This is a team game packed with excitement. The idea is to describe as many card entries as you can to your team mates before the timer runs out. As your team mates shout out their guesses, you struggle to Articulate a better description.
The game gets really competitive. Just when you think you've got the game in the bag, the other teams will try to sabotage you using their FREE MOVES.
CONTROL spaces (where the first team to shout out the answer goes next) add to the noisy rivalry.
Reviews of the game include;
"Set to become one of the most successful games of the year" (Capital Radio)
"Defies description...to exciting for words" (The Daily Express).
"A new idea that really works" (Radio 4)
"Rated highly" Voted Best Game (The Daily Telegraph)
