1 x playing board
12 x black Zulu playing pieces
12 x yellow Zulu playing pieces
Each player starts with 12 Zulu warriors and tries to capture opposing pieces. The first to capture 10 wins.
A very rare game originating from the Zulu King Chaka who used the game to help his warriors achieve similar mental alertness to their physical prowess.
Under Chaka, the Zulus conquered 100,000 square miles by 1816 and had become the most prosperous, powerful and feared race in Africa. He enforced iron discipline. Cowardice in battle or disobedience was punishable by death, weaklings were slaughtered. Chaka was savage, cruel and ruthless. His warrior Impis could run 60 miles and go straight into battle. They were masters of concealment and camouflage, striking hard and fast then disappear. They carried three assegais (swords); 2 for throwing and a 3rd for hand to hand fighting.
