This is an extremely rare version of the popular game of
Backgammon. Backgammon is normally played by two people but this
version of the game with octagonal game board and an additional set of
coloured stones, allows up to 6 people to play.
Take 7 stones of each colour and mark them in a distinguishing way (piece of tape etc). Then play as usual from opposing tables. Each player moves the stones from 'bear in table' to 'bear out table'.Alternatively, make teams of two and alternate rolls of the dice and moves between the two team mates. The object of Trigammon is to be first to move your stones from the slots to the 'bear in table', then around the game board to the 'bear out table' and then off. |
The game board measures approx. 24" x 21". |
