Players are licensed taxicab drivers on the roads of central London. Each player starts with money but must pay a licence fee. Move around the board to find passengers, take them to their destinations and be paid the fare and a tip. During the journey the player may receive penalties or rights to rewards or bonuses. With enough money, a player may licence a second taxi which is identified by a flag made with a pin (not supplied) and a small piece of gummed paper (supplied). Each taxi cab has a small slit at the top of the recess next to the driver into which the pin can be inserted to form a flag pole. The game may be played with 5 or 6 players but without second taxis.
The winner is the first player to earn a pre-determined amount of money.

The rules booklet includes an introduction to the game emphasising the benefits and enjoyment of learning about London. The colour pictures and names of the various passengers on the cards are wonderfully presented.
