Set during a turbulent period in Scotland's history when the King's death has left a child heir and powerful nobles competing for the power of the Regent.

Players represent 4 fictitious, powerful Scottish families; 2 Highland clans (purple and red) and 2 Lowland houses (blue and green). Each family has territory and 6 shields, 1 each for the Chief, heir and 4 cadets.

Win the game by advancing your Chief’s shield to the centre of the board to obtain the Regency.

This game combines chess and backgammon in a colourful, glamorous setting of Scots’ medieval war and intrigue.
