Can you guess the numbers on the dice hidden beneath the cups? Use your intuition or bluff your way through your call and pass the buck to the next player. Watch out, you may be challenged on your call and if you’re bluffing, you lose a dice. The last player to remain holding dice wins. An ancient Peruvian dice game, first played by the Incas in the 15th century. It is rumoured that Atahualpa, Emperor of the Incas refined the game to its present level of skill and luck whilst captive after his defeat by Pizzaro in 1532. Perudo is still played throughout the Andes and has more recently been introduced into Spain. The 1st edition has an Indian head motif in place of the number 1 spot on each of the dice. Later editions had standard spots on the dice. Also produced by University Games in the same year. |
