Welcome to the first ever Parker Bros. authorized Monopoly golf edition. Play it just like the traditional game of Monopoly. Compete to own property, build hotels and houses and try to bankrupt your opponents. The difference is that the stakes in this game are all about golf; golf courses, tours , tournaments, companies, even a golf bible (digest). With a roll of the dice or the luck of a chance card, you can play Pebble Beach golf links, test your skills on Pinehurst, buy the Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass (island green and all) and challenge Doral's blue monster. About the only place you don't want to put your ball is Jail, the golf equivalent of being buried in one of PGA West's treacherous sand traps.

The rules include a shorter version of the game, as the full game can take some hours to play.

This edition of the game is US based. The title deed cards have been altered to include;
- Golf World and Golf Digest magazines
- Torrey Pines, Aviara golf club, Homestead
- TPC Scottsdale, TPC The Woodlands, TPC Sawgrass.
- LPGA, Senior PGA tour, PGA tour
- Doral golf resort and spa, La Quinta resort and club, PGA West
- Kapalua Maxi, Spyglass Hill, Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill club and lounge
- Ashworth golf company, Top Flite, Callaway Golf
- Pinehurst, Pebble Beach golf links

The traditional stations have been replaced with golf sponsorship companies. The tokens however are the traditional Monopoly tokens. Additional information is printed on the inside packaging of the game.
