Be the first player to creep through all the rooms, climb

the stairs and reach the top stepthe stairs and reach the top step which magically closes the coffin lid and lays the ghost to rest.

Start in a forest drenched in moonlight. A path leads to the mysterious Ghost Castle, guarded by a sinister axe man. Enter the ghostly great hall with its treacherous shaky floor. Then on to the cellar full of strange, dusty bottles and a hidden passage behind the secret mirror. This leads to the dungeon with frightening shadows and a skeleton that comes to life. You are never out of danger as you climb the stairs of the spooky tower. Only when you close the coffin will the ghost with the bouncing skull stop haunting the house.
On each turn players throw the dice and spin the arrow. Move according to the dice. The arrow may point to;

- a frightened face. You are scared stiff by a ghost and must fit a scared stiff mask on your playing piece. Thereafter, you can't throw the dice until the spinner shows a footprint.
- a dice. Assuming you're not wearing a mask, take another dice throw and move further forward.
- the skull. Drop the skull into the coffin, which then falls and activates 1 of 4 traps; the knight’s axe falls or the shaky floor moves or the skeleton comes to life or the skull rolls down the stairs. Any player hit or knocked over is forced back to a previous point in the castle marked by a blue footprint.

An adaptation of the 1971 classic Haunted House game by Denys Fisher. In that game;
- the rooms had different names and illustrations
- the axe trap was a witches broom
- the traps were activated by a whammy ball
- witch cards were used in place of the spinner

- when scared stiff, the playing piece was replaced by a mouse.

A well designed game and great fun too.
