1 x full size double sided playing board
180 x black stones
180 x white stones
1 x illustrated guide written by Matthew MacFadyen, 6th Dan

GO is a fighting game. The board represents the uninhabited world bound on all sides by the seashore.
Vertical lines marked ‘a’ to ‘t’, and horizontal lines 1 to 19 form 361 intersections (points).
Take turns to place stones on the board and fight for territory;
- surround areas to claim territory
- attack your opponent and/or take prisoners by enclosing an opponent's stone

When players agree that no more points can be made, the game finishes.
Calculate the score, (points enclosed – points lost). The player with most points, wins.

Beginners may play on 10 x 10 lines on the reverse of the board. A handicap system is used between players of differing ability.
