France
1944 simulates the liberation of France , Belgium , Luxembourg and the Netherlands during the Allied drive on Germany from July 1944 through March 1945.

The game begins with the allies already well established in France following the June D Day invasions. At the start of the game, Allied units are still bogged down in the rough terrain near the Normandy beaches and their progress has been slow thus far. Nevertheless, Allied strength has built up at a faster rate than the German and as the game begins, the Allies are gathered to attempt their breakout (Operation Cobra) and begin the race towards the German frontier.

Each player has combat units and headquarters available which are capable of manoeuvring across the map and engaging enemy pieces. The challenge is making the right decisions at the right times.

Playable for 2 to 3 hours. Game Design by Mark Herman.
