Have you ever wondered where our sayings and superstitions originated; son of a gun, don't let the cat out of the bag, don't open an umbrella indoors?

One player reads aloud an intriguing scenario. You must guess its secret identity.

Evolutions is a collection of 600 of the world's most fascinating customs, cliches, inventions, words and superstitions.

Expression; If there's such a thing as a classic form of suicide, then this would be the one. It even developed its own cliche. A person attempting suicide would stand on a pail, adjust the noose, then overturn the pail with their feet. This term is now used when referring to anyone's final farewell.
Answer; Kick the bucket.

Nursery rhyme; This well known children's rhyme comes directly from the Druids, who were ancient Celtic priests and prophets. It was used as part of their ceremony in which a sacrificial victim was chosen. It would be the modern day equivalent of counting one, two, three, four.
Answer; eeny, meeny, miny, mo.
