1 x stiff playing board, folded in half, 28cm x 27cm
24 x wood draughtsmen, 2.5cm diameter;
- 12 white
- 12 black

An early 20th Century example of a traditional game.

On the box lid; "Made by J.W.S. & S. Bavaria" and in the instructions “Manufactured and Published at the Spear Works, Bavaria".

The rules are printed on the inside of the box lid.

"The game of Draughts is played on a board, the white squares of which are occupied by the men, 24 in number, each player having 12, placed on the three rows of squares nearest to himself. The board is laid so that the double white corner is to the right hand.
The player who has the black men takes the first move, and the moves are made diagonally forward, one square at a time, by each player alternately, and the pieces are captured by jumping over them to the vacant square beyond, the pieces thus passed being removed from the board. As many pieces can be taken at one move as have vacant squares behind them. On arriving at the eighth square from the side it started a man is crowned (that is one piece is placed on top) and is then called King, and can move forward or backward.
You are compelled to take whenever there is an opportunity, or ‘stand the huff’- have your own piece removed from the board. As soon as all your opponent's pieces are off the board, or he is unable to move those that remain you have won the game.
When a small number of men only remain, the player who has the least number may call upon his opponent to win in 50 moves, or declare the game drawn. With two kings to one king the game is drawn unless it be won in 20 moves.

Three other games are advertised inside the box lid;
- Coppit and Cappit, "The NEW game that shows the highest merit of any brought out in recent years. It is extremely entertaining and full of excitement"
- A flight round the world
- Table shuffle board
