| From the dawn of history to 250 years BC, based on a map of the eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East. Players control Nation states. The first to achieve civilisation, wins. Although battles and territorial strategy are important, this is not a war game. The object of the game is to gain a level of advancement, involving cultural, economic and political factors, so that conflicts are due to rivalry and land shortage rather than a desire to eliminate other players. Game play options; - simplified, lasts approx. 1 to 2 hours - shortened, lasts approx. 2 to 4 hours - full, lasts approx. 6 to 8 hours. |
