15 x matching pairs of colour playing cards 1 x Black Peter card 1 x instruction card 1 x inner box sleeve with card showing Black Peter's tail 1 x outer box with card showing Black Peter holding his tail A pairs matching game using 15 pairs of cards and an odd card (Black Peter). Each pair has a matching picture symbol on the top left of the cards to easily identify them as a pair. The main characters on each pair of cards are closely related but different. Players take it in turns to select a card from the player on their right. If the card selected provides the player with a matching pair, they can table those matching cards. This method of draw continues around the table, with each player immediately tabling any 2 cards of equal value. The only exception is the Black Peter, which must not be put aside but is offered in the ordinary way for drawing purposes to the customary left hand player. The player who is left only with the Black Peter is the final loser and has to pay a fine to the remaining players. This is a very rare, beautifully illustrated and collectable card game. The inner sleeve bears a picture of Black Peter's tail and as the sleeve is pulled down from the outer case, it gives the appearance of Black Peter's tail becoming elongated with 2 mice clinging on. |
