The bad news ... or the bad news?
Meet The gatekeeper. He alone presides over The other side, keeping the peace
in the provinces until doomsday or whatever comes next. He acts as referee in
the game the Harbingers play, dealing out punishments and penalties and
ruling the game with an iron fist.

A harbinger is one who pioneers
or initiates a major change, a precursor, something that foreshadows what is
to come with an omen or warning. In Atmosfear, The Harbingers are the rulers
of the 6 provinces, Elizabeth Bathory the vampire, Hellin the poltergeist,
Anne de Chantraine the Witch, Baron Samedi the zombie, Khufu
the Mummy and Gevaudan the
werewolf.
; Beneath each province is a sewer,
home of the Soul rangers. Doctor
Mastiff, the deeply disturbed dentist is the leader of the Soul
rangers. He runs a pirate radio show called Radio riot from the depths of the
sewers. He has his own game called The operating hour and he's daring you to
play. The Soul rangers are the scourge of the sewers, untrustworthy,
underhanded and thoroughly undesirable. Loyal to no-one, they'd even stab
themselves in the back if only they could reach.
